Atalanta BC: "The renovated stadium ready in 34 days" (R. Spagnolo, director of operations)

"It's still 34 more days of work today, it's very important to take advantage of the time we have left, a lot has been done, but there is still work going on, but we must keep up the pace," stated Roberto Spagnolo, director of operations and the coordinator of the renovation work of the stadium of Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio (Serie A TIM), on 20/08/2019.

Due to ongoing work at the 26,562-seater Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, now renamed the Gewiss Arena (see below), Atalanta will play its first two Serie A home matches, against Torino FC and ACF Fiorentina, at the Stadio Ennio Tardini in Parma (22,352 places). The Lombard club will have to wait until Matchday 7 and the reception of US Lecce to play its first home match of the 2019-20 Serie A TIM season in its newly renovated stadium.
