Italy: Serie A TIM is the last Top 5 league to launch its 2019-20 season, on Saturday 24/08/201

The kick-off of the 2019-20 season of the Serie A TIM will take place on Saturday 24/08/2019 with the Parma Calcio 1913 - Juventus FC match at the Stadio Ennio-Tardini (22,352 places), kick-off at 18:00 CET.

The Serie A TIM is the last European Top 5 league to begin its 2019-20 season, more than two weeks after the Ligue 1 Conforama and the Premier League kicked off (opening match on Friday, 09/08/2019), and one week later the Bundesliga and LaLiga Santander (opening match on Friday 16/08/2019).

The 2019-20 Italian season will end on Sunday 24/05/2020, and a winter break will be held from 23/12/2019 to 04/01/2020, after the end of Matchday 17. The Lega Serie A has indeed decided not to repeat the "Italian boxing day" round of matches introduced in 2018-19 (with three matchdays 22, 26 and 29/12/2018), announced the Lega Serie A on 01/04/2019.

Juventus have won the last eight editions of the Italian championship (from 2011-12 to 2018-19), a series that no Italian team has ever achieved before the Turin club (Piedmont, ITA).
