China: Chen Xuyuan (ex-Shanghai SIPG, Chinese Super League) elected president of the Federation

"Chen Xuyuan was elected the new Chinese Football Association president at the 11^th CFA  (Chinese Football Association) membership conference at the Xianghe National Football Training Center in Hebei Province," reported Xinhua, a Chinese national news agency, on 22/08/2019. He succeeds Cai Zhenhua, who was elected in January 2014 but resigned from the presidency of the CFA in September 2018 to take other positions at the request of the Chinese government.

Chen Xuyuan, 63 years old, was the president of Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG), a Chinese national company he joined in 1997, which operates the port of the China's most populous city (more than 26 million inhabitants). Shanghai International Port Group owns, since November 2014, the Shanghai SIPG club, which plays in Chinese Super League (CSL).
