France: D1 Arkema women's football, broadcast on Canal+ channels, begins on Saturday 24/08/2019

The entirety of the 132 matches of the 2019-20 season of the French women's football first division (twelve teams, see below), renamed the "D1 Arkema", and which begins with four matches on Saturday 24/08/2019 (kick-off at 14:30 CET), will be broadcast on pay-TV channels of the Canal+ group.

Canal+, the holder of the broadcasting rights of the women's D1 for the 2018-2023 period, broadcasts these first four games on its Foot+ channels. The match between Olympique Lyonnais, the reigning champions since 2007, and the promoted Marseille club, will be broadcast on Canal+ Sport, on Saturday, 24/08/2019 (kick-off at 15:30 CET).

Arkema, the French group of chemistry and advanced materials, has obtained, from the FFF, the naming rights to the French women's first division, now called the "D1 Arkema" from the 2019-20 season, on 21/06/2019. "This title partnership contract was signed for a period of three years, or until the end of the season 2021-22."

  • The 46th edition of the French women's first division will end on Saturday 30/05/2020 after twenty-two matchdays of competition.
