LaLiga: creation of a programme to promote the integration of young Chinese players in Spain

LaLiga and the Chinese Football Association (CFA) have presented the "GoalFuture" project, which aims to promote the integration of young Chinese players into Spanish professional clubs, in the presence of Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish league, and Chen Xuyuan, the new president of the CFA, in Beijing (China) on 23/08/2019.

"The initiative, which features programmes relating to both the male and female game, has been launched in an effort to build on the achievements of the permanent training centre that the CFA and LaLiga opened in Madrid last year (December 2018)," said LaLiga. The aim of the training centre is to improve the sporting level of Chinese national youth teams as part of training programmes conducted in Spain. Since its opening, the Chinese U14 national team has settled there and the U17 men's and U15 women's teams have also trained there. A project to extend this centre was presented in June 2019.
