LaLiga Santander: Cupra (car manufacturer, ESP) becomes a global partner of FC Barcelona (2019-2024)

Cupra, a Spanish car manufacturer belonging to the German group Volkswagen, has become the "official automotive and mobility partner" of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) for five seasons (2019-2024), according to the Catalan club on 25/08/2019.

Cupra, an independent manufacturer since February 2018 but still owned by Seat (which itself belongs to Volkswagen) after having been the sports division for 22 years, has the status of global partner, the third level in the Catalan club's sponsorship hierarchy. Cupra succeeds the German car manufacturer Audi, which was the official automotive partner of the club from 2006 to 2019, and paid an estimated €5m annually.

As part of the partnership, Cupra will benefit from visibility at the Camp Nou (99,354 capacity), where the manufacturer will also have a reserved VIP lounge, as well as "an ephemeral space, to be decided together, in the exterior of the stadium to allow Barça fans to learn about the brand," said FC Barcelona.
