UEFA: a financial management training programme for football players launched with Banco Santander

UEFA has launched UEFA Financial Management Training (FMT), a financial management training programme for professional football players, in partnership with the Spanish bank Banco Santander, announced the European body on 23/08/2019.

"The UEFA FMT is an e-learning platform and the course lasts for seven modules, covering the basic principles of finance such as cash management, credit, savings and investments, while also providing a comprehensive introduction into entrepreneurship. Upon its conclusion, the participants will have acquired a greater knowledge in order to make informed decisions and plan for the future," said UEFA.

Former international players Gaizka Mendieta (ESP) and David James (ENG) are among the speakers in this programme, the content of which has been developed in collaboration with UEFA and Banco Santander.
