American consumer goods group, the Clorox Company, has partnered with the U.S. Soccer Federation and the Femexfut (Mexican Federation) on 27/02/2014. The group has entered into an agreement with SUM (Soccer United Marketing), the commercial division of the MLS (Major League Soccer), allowing it to become an official partner of the USSF.

The Clorox Company will promote its various brands of hygiene products in each country. The group will use the image of the two federations for television campaigns, particularly for its Kingsford charcoal and Glad trash bag products in the United States.

With football's legions of followers from around the world - myself included - we hope this partnership will enable us to build awareness of our brands with the sport's hugely loyal, enthusiastic and diverse fan base," said Benno Dorer, executive vice president and COO of cleaning, international and corporate strategy. "Ahead of this year's events in Brazil, there has never been a better time to align with the sport of football," said David Wright, senior vice president of global sponsorship at SUM.
