eSports: "Ninja" the first video game streamer to become an adidas ambassador from 2019

adidas has signed its first equipment supplier contract with the American video game streamer and professional player, Tyler "Ninja" Blevins (22.4 million YouTube subscribers), according to the German brand on 29/08/2019. Ninja will collaborate with the adidas Originals brand.

"The partnership marks the sportswear brand’s commitment to gaming, blending the physical and digital worlds to help creators achieve their best. adidas officially welcomes one of the most prolific gamers and content creators in the world to its family," said the brand. adidas will create a range of Ninja products that can be purchased both in physical and digital formats within the Fortnite video game as avatar costumes.

adidas sponsors several eSports teams: Team Vitality (FRA, since 2018), North (DEN, since 2018), Grow uP Esports (POR, since 2019) and Team Heretics (ESP, since 2019). Additionally, Ninja is also sponsored by international brands such as Samsung (JPN), Uber Eats (USA) and Red Bull (AUT).
