Bayern Munich: Oliver Kahn appointed to the executive board and as chairman and CEO from 01/01/2022

FC Bayern München AG's supervisory board has appointed former German international goalkeeper Oliver Kahn to the executive board of the commercial company that manages the professional football team FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) for five years from 01/01/2020, announced the Bavarian club on 30/08/2019. "When Karl-Heinz Rummenigge's contract expires on 31/12/2021, Oliver Kahn will take over from him as chairman and CEO," said the club.

Oliver Kahn, 50 years old, played for Bayern from 1994 to 2008. The German keeper featured in 557 Bundesliga matches and 103 Champions League matches. During his career Kahn won eight German league titles, six national cups, a Champions League and a UEFA Cup (former Europa League).
