Soccerex : "Our European competition proposal is not in favor of a closed league" (European Leagues)

"So we (European Leagues) are here to talk about the future of European football competitions, and today we present our proposal (see in detail below) for UEFA Club Competitions (UCC) post 2024. We will talk about the principles rather than the detail of competition formats and financial distribution, because we must first establish the core 'European Sports Model". We are not in favor of a closed league at the top of European competition, for example, because we believe that leagues are the heart of football," stated Lars-Christer Olsson, chairman of European Leagues, at Soccerex Europe 2019 in Oeiras (POR) on 05/09/2019.
