Liga: national tourism agency "Azerbaijan" officially extends with Atletico Madrid

"Azerbaijan," the national Azerbaijani tourism office, extended its contract with Atletico Madrid (Liga BBVA) on 01/03/2014. The phrase, "Azerbaijan, Land of Fire" has been present on the club's shirt since December 2012. The new contract will end on 30/06/2015.

"In one year, we were able to project the image of Azerbaijan all over the world and promote bilateral relations between our two countries. This process led to the creation of a structure of trade and cooperation between Spain - Azerbaijan. The first business meeting will be held in April 2014 in Baku," said Enrique Cerezo, president of Atlético Madrid.

"As a result of this agreement, many young players have come to Spain to be trained and developed. I wish them much success," said Yashar Seyidov, the executive director of FC Baku.

The "Azerbaijan" logo will be present on the shirt of the club throughout the duration of the contract, both for BBVA matches and those of the Champions League. The endowment is estimated at €12m for the 2014-15 season compared to €8m in 2013-14.
