Bundesliga: Werner Wolf, Eckhard Sauren and Jürgen Sieger elected to FC Köln's board of directors

"Werner Wolf, Eckhard Sauern and Jürgen Sieger make up the new board of directors at 1. FC Köln (Bundesliga) with 78.22% of the votes," announced the German club at the end of its annual general meeting on 08/09/2019.

Werner Wolf will be president of the new board of directors. Wolf replaces Werner Spinner, who resigned on 06/03/2019 due to "differences over the current and future direction of 1. FC Köln." Eckhard Sauern and Jürgen Sieger, appointed as vice-presidents, will replace Markus Ritterbach and Toni Schumacher.

Stefan Müller-Römer, who had joined the 1. FC Köln board of directors at the time of Werner Spinner's resignation, is leaving to join the club's Members' Council (in charge of controlling the board of directors) of which he was previously a member.
