European Leagues: #SupportYourLeague about the role of domestic leagues as the lifeblood of the game

"This #SupportYourLeague project aims to inform, educate and engage all the football stakeholders such as fans, clubs, players, domestic leagues, national associations, press & media, broadcasters and other commercial partners about the role of domestic leagues as the lifeblood of the game and the opportunities presented by UEFA Club Competitions (UCC) reform from 2024 onwards," European Leagues announced with the creation of the platform on 06/09/2019.

"This is a public platform we call #SupportYourLeague because the core of our principles is to protect national football and allow all professional clubs to participate in fair competition," said Alberto Colombo, deputy secretary general of European Leagues, at Soccerex Europe 2019 organized in Oeiras, in the western suburbs of Lisbon (POR), on 05 and 06/09/2019.

Protecting the national leagues, increasing the number of participating clubs and establishing a more equitable distribution model are the three main principles of the proposal for the European cups from 2024-25 presented by European Leagues in Portugal on 06/09/2019.
