UK/Ireland: Premier Sports acquires LaLiga TV rights and launches LaLigaTV in English

The British pay-TV group Premier Sports has acquired the broadcasting rights to LaLiga Santander in the United Kingdom and Ireland for the 2019-2022 cycle, on 10/09/2019.

Premier Sports will launch LaLigaTV in English (a channel which broadcasts 24/7 with all LaLiga Santander matches) on its OTT platform Premier Player in October 2019. LaLigaTV will also be available via the pay-TV operator Sky, on which Premier Sports is distributed, from January 2020.

"Through this three-year agreement, LaLiga to become first football league in the world to have dedicated channel showing all live matches in the UK and Ireland," said Premier Sports. 200 of the 380 Premier League games per season are broadcast live in the UK over the 2019-2022 cycle.
