FC Barcelona: a record budget of over €1bn for the 2019-20 season

"We will present a budget for the 2019-20 season with around €1.06bn in income," said Josep Maria Bartomeu, president of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), after a meeting of the club's executive board on 06/09/2019.

This provisional budget, which should be approved at a socios assembly on 06/10/2019, is the highest in history for a football club and the first to plan for exceeding €1bn in revenue.

FC Barcelona posted a turnover of €990m for the 2018-19 season (+7.6% compared to 2017-18), the highest in its history. EBITDA generated by the club reached €192m in 2018-19 (versus €177m in 2017-18), while operating profit amounted to €17m (€32m in 2017-18) and net profit after tax to €4.5m (€13m in 2017-18).
