LFP-AS Monaco agreement: "All procedures were followed, the debate is over" (Vadim Vasilyev)

"I am very surprised that this issue, that was closed by a democratically elected president and was approved by a large majority of the board of the league, is still being disputed. All procedures were followed. The debate is over. The agreement is irreversible. Who will want to invest in French football if you dispute every decision?" said Vadim Vasilyev, vice president and general manager of AS Monaco on 05/03/2014.

An appeal against the agreement signed on 24/01/2014 between the LFP (French Professional Football League) and AS Monaco, which allowed the club to keep its headquarters in the Principality in exchange of the payment in the next two years of €50m (two payments of €25m), was presented to State Council on 18/02/2014, a proposal signed by seven leaders of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 (listed below).
