ECA: Peter Lawwell (Celtic FC) elected to the executive board, Sandro Rosell's replacement postponed

Celtic FC CEO (Scottish Premiership, SCO), Peter Lawwell, was elected to the executive board of the ECA (European Club Association) at the general meeting of the organisation in Barcelona (ESP) on 03/03/2014.

He replaces Zoran Mamic (Dinamo Zagreb, CRO), who resigned, leaving an unexpired term that runs until the end of the 2014-15 season.

However, the ECA, chaired by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, decided to postpone to a later date the decision regarding the replacement of Sandro Rosell, former president of FC Barcelona, to the executive board of the ECA as well as to the strategic council of professional football for UEFA (Union of European Football Associations).
