Brazil 2014: Nike to unveil France away kit

The U.S. sporting goods supplier, Nike, has presented the second shirt of the France national team, 100 days before the kick off of the 2014 World Cup, on 04/03/2014. The French U21 team wore the new white and grey patterned shirt for the first time at the qualifying match for Euro 2015 against Belarus (1-0) at Le Mans on 04/03/2014.

The design is similar to the "marinière" style released in March 2011. "It was sold in large quantities abroad, especially in Japan and China. This model is not the one I liked the most, but it was more universal and was not directed only to French fans" said Noël Le Graët, the president of the FFF (French Football Federation) to News Tank, on 21/01/2014. The new away shirt of Les Bleus is the result of discussions dating back more than 18 months.

"At first, 80 % of shirts were sold in France. Now, we are closer to 50-50, perhaps even a dominance in the overseas market," explained the president of the FFF.
