British car brand Vauxhall, main partner of the Scottish national team, partnered with the Daily Record to allow live, free distribution of the friendly match between Poland and Scotland (0-1) in Warsaw (POL) on 05/03/2014. The game was available on the website of the newspaper.

"The live and free broadcast of a game of the Scottish national team is a revolutionary opportunity to break the traditional broadcast model," said Chris Hornbuckle, director of partnerships at Vauxhall, on 01/03/2014.

"We are delighted to offer this event to our readers, who will watch it on their computer or tablet completely for free," said Eugene Duffy, chief editor of the Daily Record.

  • Vauxhall has been a partner of the Scottish team since 2011.
    • The company signed a contract extension until 2018.
    • Under the agreement, Vauxhall, a subsidiary of U.S. carmaker General Motors, will continue to support the development of social and digital media of the Scottish Federation and provide a broader distribution of video content to fans.
