The Brazilian team wore its new Nike shirt for the second half of the friendly match played against South Africa (0-5) in Johannesburg (RSA) on 05/03/2014.

The new blue away shirt was worn after the break, after the Brazilians played the first 45 minutes of the match in their traditional yellow uniform. Brazil has three official shirts for the 2014 World Cup: one yellow, one blue and one green. Only Brazil and Belgium have three official shirts.

The numbers 46664 appeared on the South African shirts as a tribute to former president Nelson Mandela, who died on 05/12/2014. 46664 was the prisoner number of Nelson Mandela between 1964 and 1990.
