"There was a confirmation vote of the executive committee and the board of directors of the LFP (French Professional Football League) concerning the agreement signed with AS Monaco. The decision has been ratified," said Jean-Pierre Louvel, president of the UCPF (Union of Professional Football Clubs) on 06/03/2014.

The LFP and AS Monaco signed an agreement on 24/01/2014 under which the club pledged €50m to the league (over two years) and to withdraw the appeal that it had brought before the State council against the decision of the league to impose a headquarters in France. In return, AS Monaco acquired the right to retain its headquarters in the Principality.

Seven leaders of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 teams filed an appeal before the state council on 18/02/2014 against this agreement.
