Juventus (Serie A) has opened a temporary café in Tokyo (JAP) named the "Juventus Lounge," located within the Fiat space, on 07/03/2014. The Italian automobile maker decided to offer the club space in its outlet which is regularly redecorated. It is located in the central district of Aoyama. The Juventus Lounge is open until 13/04/2014.

"The internationalisation of the Juventus brand is underway. Passion for our colours has always been strong here, and Japan is a very important market in Asia," said Andrea Agnelli, president of Juventus during the inauguration. Andrea Agnelli was accompanied to Tokyo by former Dutch international Edgar Davids, Juve player from 1998 to 2003.

Andrea Agnelli explained that Juventus wants to make a global brand and in the future, reach into the Chinese, Indian, Indonesian and Australian markets.

The "Juventus Lounge" helps remind Japanese fans of the two club wins obtained at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo during the Intercontinental Cup:

  • 1985: Juventus - Argentinos Junior (2-2 after extra time, 4-3 on penalties)
  • 1996: Juventus - River Plate (1-0)
