Watford FC: Coingaming promotes Bitcoin on the club's shirt sleeve and within its stadium in 2019-20

Coingaming, an Estonian sports betting operator, through its brand Sportsbet.io, has expanded its partnership with Watford FC (Premier League) for 2019-20 by displaying the cryptocurrency Bitcoin as the clubs sleeve sponsor, on 12/09/2019.

"The sponsorship will be crowd-funded, allowing anyone who holds Bitcoin the exclusive opportunity to share in the perks granted to Watford FC sponsors. Contributors can bid for public LED space shown live during matches (at Vicarage Road, 21,000 capacity), use of the Bitcoin box for eight people and exclusive Watford FC merchandise," said the club. Watford thus becomes the first Premier League club to give its fans the opportunity to buy advertising with Bitcoins. 

Coingaming will continue to benefit from the status of main partner, the first level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the English club. Sportsbet.io, which belongs to Coingaming, became a partner and main shirt sponsor of Watford FC on 16/06/2019. The partnership, which began in 2019-20, is due to cover three seasons (2019-2022) according to international media on 16/06/2019.
