UEFA: first edition of the UEFA Club Competition Landscape Report (2019-20)

"The first edition of the UEFA Club Competition Landscape Report looks in detail at the 80 clubs who will play in the group stages of this season's (2019-20) UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League," announced UEFA on 12/09/2019.

"The report (available to download) is short and snappy, with infographics telling the story of how the 80 clubs (32 in the Champions League and 48 in Europa League) qualified (almost one third qualified only on the last day of the season), illustrating how they compare, and highlighting global trends," said Andrea Traverso, managing director of financial sustainability and research at UEFA.

"These summer transfer insights from the 80 clubs include:
• The 80 clubs were responsible for 58% of all global transfer spending
• Some 43% of the participating clubs have made their club record signing this summer
• 16 different kit manufactures have produced the kits of the 80 clubs
• The group stages will feature 24 different stadiums of 50,000+ capacity with an average capacity of 41,278.
