UEFA: airlines and sports betting operators the most represented main shirt sponsors in 2019-20

Airlines (15%) and sports betting operators (15%) are the most prominent brands in terms of main shirt sponsorship among the 80 participating clubs in the UEFA Champions League and Europa League in 2019 -20, according to the organizer of these competitions, UEFA, in its first edition of the UEFA Club Competition Landscape Report, on 12/09/2019.

"23% of clubs feature a primary shirt sponsor from a non-UEFA territory, highlighting the global appeal of European football" said the European body. Of these 80 clubs, "21% of clubs introduced a new primary shirt sponsor for this season".

Nike is the most represented equipment supplier of these 80 clubs in European competitions (26% of clubs), ahead of adidas (24%), Puma (10%) and Macron (10%). A total of 16 different equipment suppliers are represented (nine different brands in the Champions League, 15 different brands in the Europa League). 9% of the clubs have also changed their equipment supplier for 2019-20.
