LFP: J-M Aulas (Lyon) elected president of Ligue 1 college, J-P Rivère (Nice) vice-president

"Jean-Michel Aulas, chairman of Olympique Lyonnais, and Jean-Pierre Rivère, president of OGC Nice, are elected president and vice-president respectively of the college of Ligue 1 clubs," announces the LFP on 18/09/2019.

"Ahead of the General Assembly of the LFP, the college of Ligue 1 club presidents met to conduct the election of its president and its vice-president," said the French League.

Jean-Michel Aulas and Jean-Pierre Rivère would normally be elected "for a period of four years", but Article 13 of the LFP statutes states that their term of office "ends upon expiry of the term of the Board of Directors (of the League)", that is to say in the autumn of 2020.

The college meets before each General Assembly of the LFP

• Each General Assembly is preceded by a meeting convened by the president of each college, with the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 colleges bringing together the clubs participating respectively in the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 championships on the day of the meeting.
