Lagardère Unlimited: revenues down 13% in 2013, 66% improvement in the operating loss

Lagardère Unlimited, a media and marketing rights agency of the Lagardère Group, achieved a turnover of €409m in 2013, down 13% compared to the previous year (€470m), announced the French media group during the presentation of its 2013 annual results on 12/03/2014.

The agency conducted an operating loss of €11m on 31/12/2013, an improvement of 66% compared to 2012 (-€33m), "when the provision on the contract signed with the IOC (International Olympic Committee -€22m) was recognised. Stripping out this item, recurring EBIT before associates was stable, with good performance by Sportfive (marketing of German football club rights and, to a lesser extent, those of the African Cup of Nations), and a reduction this year in the loss in European media rights activities, that offset the negative seasonality of the AFC (Asian Football Confederation) contract at World Sport Group," said Lagardère on 12/03/2014.
