Bayern Munich: Karl Hopfner candidate for presidency at extraordinary general meeting on 02/05/2014

The advisory board of FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) proposed Karl Hopfner as candidate for the presidency of the club's association on 14/03/2014. Karl Hopfner has held this position since that day, after the resignation of Uli Hoeness, following his sentencing to three and a half years in jail for tax evasion.

In accordance with the statutes of Bayern, the advisory board of Bayern must call an extraordinary general meeting of its members within 40 days of the resignation of its president, to elect his successor. The extraordinary general meeting will be held on 02/05/2014 at the Audi Dome Munich.

According to the statutes of the club, the advisory board must always submit to the vote the names for a new executive committee for the Bavarian club. In addition to Karl Hopfner's for president, the committee also proposed Rudolf Schels for the role of senior vice-president and Dieter Maier for the role of second vice-president.
