LaLiga Santander: FC Barcelona, the first club to offer paid subscriptions for fans via Facebook

FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) has become "the first sports club to offer its new 'Fan Subscription' service" on Facebook, a service that allows users to receive benefits, such as exclusive content, in exchange for a monthly subscription, announced the club on 20/09/2019.

"FC Barcelona and Facebook joined forces to develop innovative product that offers users access to exclusive contents and experiences. Facebook chose FC Barcelona as its initial ally in offering this service, which is now operational, because of its innovative digital strategy and huge worldwide fan base of more than 340 million supporters," said FC Barcelona.

Fans who subscribe to the Catalan club's Facebook page will be able to access a dedicated group, enjoy exclusive content and have an official badge with the Barça emblem on their profile picture. The monthly subscription fee is €2.49.
