Andorra: former international Felix Álvarez becomes the fifth president of the Football Federation

Felix Álvarez was elected as president of the Andorran Football Federation (FAF) for a four year term at the Federation's extraordinary assembly on 12/09/2019.

The 53-year-old former international won the election by 21 votes to 6 for Carles Riba, plus one blank and one invalid vote. He thus becomes the fifth president of the FAF, which was founded in 1994.

"Now it's about working and seeing the operation of the FAF, and where we can improve, although there are many things that are already going very well," said Felix Álvarez after his election.

The Andorran Football Federation's new board of directors is due to convene an ordinary general assembly on 30/09/2019.

• "Álvarez, married with two children, works as an economics and tax consultant, and is also a real estate agent.
• The 53-year-old played on several occasions for Andorra's national team, and represented La Seu d'Urgell, Oliana, FC Andorra, Principat, Constel·lació Esportiva and Sant Julià at club level. He also played futsal for Ranger's and Atlètic Escaldes."
