Manchester United FC: a record turnover of £627.1m and a net profit of £18.9m in 2018-19

Manchester United FC (Premier League) posted a record turnover of £627.1m (€699.5m) during the 2019 financial year (01/07/2018 to 30/06/2019), up 6.3% compared to 2018 (£590m/€665.9m), according to the club on 24/09/2019.

The club's commercial revenues were stable at £275.1m (€306.8m, -0.3%), representing 43.9% of Manchester United's total revenue in 2019, compared to 46.8% in 2018. This includes sponsorship revenue of £173m (€193m) and merchandising revenue of £102.1m (€113.9m).

TV rights were the most significant source of revenue (+18.1%), rising from £204.2m (€230.4m) in 2018 to £241.2m (€269m) in 2019, "primarily due to the new UEFA Champions League broadcasting rights agreement," said Manchester United FC.

The club's operating profit increased to £50m (€55.8m, +13.9%), as did its net profit, which showed a profit of £18.9m (€21.1m), compared to a loss of £37.6m (€42.4m) the previous year.
