AS Roma (Serie A TIM) and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have entered into a "three-year partnership" that will see them "collaborate together on and off the pitch," announced the two organisations at a joint press conference in Abuja (Nigeria), on 20/09/2019.

"Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will share football, business and media expertise, with Roma offering the NFF technical and operational support and advice in the areas of youth coching, player development, football administration and digital media best practices. In return, the NFF will collaborate with Roma's development initiatives in Nigeria as the club continues to embrace and engage football fans in the country," said the Italian club.

During the 2019-20 season, Nigerian coaches will be hosted at the AS Roma training centre to study the working methods of their Italian counterparts. Club staff will be sent to Nigeria to hold administration and digital platform workshops. The agreement also provides for the possibility of the Italian professional team playing a friendly in Nigeria.
