Diamond League (Athletics): Infront obtains TV rights from 2025, Wanda naming rights from 2020

The marketing and media rights agency Infront has acquired the international media rights to IAAF and the Diamond League's elite track and field circuit, the company announced on 25/09/2019. Infront's parent company, the Chinese conglomerate Wanda Group, also becomes the title sponsor of the Diamond League circuit (14 stages in 2019) from 2020.

"The partnership also includes a 10-year international media rights agreement for a second international tour, a series of one-day meetings around the world due to be launched by the IAAF in 2020. It marks the first time Infront will represent athletics on the international stage and expands the company's role in the sport following the media and marketing rights partnership with the Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL) in July 2018," explained the agency.

Infront will succeed IMG, which has marketed the international rights of the Diamond League since the creation of the circuit in 2010.
