IOC: Christopher Carroll (USA) appointed director of digital engagement from 16/10/2019

The American Christopher Carroll has been appointed to the newly created position of director of digital engagement of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), said the body on 25/09/2019. He will take office on 16/10/2019 and will report to Christophe De Kepper (BEL), the director general of the IOC.

"As the IOC is looking to further extend its direct digital engagement with fans globally, in close cooperation with the Olympic Channel, Mr Carroll will play a key role in this transformation," said the body.

Christopher Carroll joins the IOC after having been a partner and sales manager at 90/24 Media in Amsterdam (NED). He has previously held a variety of marketing and communications roles with global brands such as Under Armour (2012-2016) and Heineken (2005-2012).
