FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) and the LOC (Local Organising Committee) began the final round of operational inspections on the stadiums of the 2014 World Cup (12/06 to 13/07/2014), with a first visit to Sao Paulo on 20/03/2014.

Until 26/03/2014, the six stadiums that had not been used during the Confederations Cup 2013 (Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Cuiabá, Manaus and Natal) must be visited by inspectors. Competition, press operations, broadcasting, protocol, communications, IT technology, spectator services, security, medical services, transport, catering, volunteers, hospitality and stadiums operations will be the different parts of the review.

"This inspection tour will be fundamental to consolidate operational plans and for each area to confirm the operations they have planned over the last few years," said Tiago Paes, LOC stadiums operations manager.
