Liga NOS: SL Benfica opens a soccer school in Kharkiv, the club's 2^nd in Ukraine and 15^th worldwide

Sport Lisboa e Benfica (Liga NOS) has opened a soccer school in Kharkiv, the club's second in Ukraine, on 23/09/2019. The first SL Benfica soccer school in Ukraine was opened in the capital Kiev in April 2019.

"This inauguration is part of the club's strategy to expand at international level, increasing its brand awareness in key markets, such as Eastern Europe. The opening of this new school in Kharkiv means the Portuguese club now has a grand total of 65 schools, 50 in Portugal and 15 spread across the world," said SL Benfica.

70 young Ukrainian players participated in the opening ceremony of the Kharkiv soccer school, which will be led by former Ukrainian international Serhiy Kandaurov, who played for SL Benfica from 1997 to 2001.
