eSports: FC St. Pauli (2.Bundesliga) recruits two eFootball players Noah Maurice Itgen and Tom Köst

FC St. Pauli (2.Bundesliga) has launched into eSports with the recruitment of two eFootball players (Noah Maurice Itgen and Tom Köst), according to the club on 24/09/2019. The club's main shirt sponsor congstar (telecommunications) has also become a shirt sponsor for the club's eSports players and obtained the naming rights to the eSports training centre, the "congstar Separee", located within the Millerntor-Stadion (29,546 capacity).

"In addition to participating in various Hamburg Football Association (Hamburger Fußball-Verbandes) competitions, the two players will promote their discipline to young women who have so far been seriously under-represented in eSports. In order to meet the professional requirements of eFootball, FC St. Pauli has also created a new coordinator position and filled it with Christian Oberlies," explained the club.
