Serie A TIM: AC Milan and Inter present the two finalist projects for the new stadium at San Siro

AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano (Serie A TIM) unveiled the two projects selected for the construction of their new shared stadium with an urban renewal of the San Siro district of Milan on 26/09/2019.

It is planned to build a 60,000-seater compound next to the current Stadio Giuseppe-Meazza (78,328 capacity), which will have to be destroyed to make way for a commercial area dedicated to sports, entertainment and shopping. The total cost of construction of the project is estimated at €1.2bn, of which €650m for the stadium alone, according to the economic and technical feasibility study presented by the two clubs to the Municipality of Milan (Lombardy, ITA) on 10/07/2019. This evaluates the duration of the works at 36 months for the stadium and at 72 months for the entire urban redevelopment project.
