Asics, a Japanese equipment manufacturer, has extended its official partnership with the IAAF for ten years, until 2029, according to the body on 26/09/2019, ahead of the 17th World Athletics Championships, held in Doha (Qatar) from 27/09 to 06/10/2019. The agreement was signed through Dentsu Inc, the IAAF's exclusive agency until 2029.

"As part of the agreement, Asics will kit out the officials and volunteers at all IAAF World Athletics Series events with Asics' footwear and apparel that will ensure the smooth running of these events," said the IAAF. Asics signed a similar three-year agreement (2017-2019) on 03/12/2016.

The agreement was signed by Sebastian Coe (62), who was re-elected president of the IAAF for a four year-term, at the 52nd Congress of the International Association of Athletics Federations in Doha on 25/09/2019.
