The 20 clubs involved in the 2019-20 Premier League season have nearly 473 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/10/2019. This total makes the Premier League the second most popular European Top 5 league on all the three social networks, behind LaLiga Santander, with an average of 23.6 million fans per club.

Manchester United FC are the most popular English club with over 125 million fans, followed by two London clubs: Chelsea FC, with over 80 million fans and Arsenal FC, with nearly 69 million.

Liverpool FC was the most successful Premier League during September 2019 with an additional 1.2 million fans, including nearly 750,000 on Instagram alone. Arsenal FC and Manchester City FC respectively passed the 15 million followers mark on Twitter and Instagram, while Wolverhampton Wanderers FC passed the 1 million likes mark on Facebook.
