Stadiums: "If a club adopts our model it no longer has anything to fear" (Gabriele Gravina, FIGC)

"This is a historic turning point. Responsibility (regarding the behavior of fans in the stands) is no longer objective but becomes personal. We have not undermined the basic principle, but if a club today adopts and concretely applies our virtuous model it no longer has anything to fear," said Gabriele Gravina, president of the FIGC, after the meeting of the Federal Council of the Italian Football Federation on 01/10/2019.

Under the new Sports Justice Code, within the framework of Article 7 of the Statutes of the "Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio" (document available to download), the Italian Federation's Federal Council has defined the guidelines that clubs must respect in their management and control models to prevent all acts against loyalty, equity and integrity, including acts of a racist or discriminatory nature.
