Premier League: Newcastle United FC provides "sensory backpacks" for autistic fans

Newcastle United FC (Premier League) is providing "sensory backpacks" for fans with autism during the club's home games at St James' Park (52,404 capacity), announced the club on 20/09/2019.

"Available free-of-charge to supporters young and old, sensory backpacks contain a stress reliever, ear defenders, activity pack and communication cards - all of which help users to relax and overcome stressful or intense situations," said Newcastle United.

Developed in partnership with First Class Supply, an agency specialised in school support, the sensory backpacks must be booked ahead of each match. Spectators who benefit from them can keep them for the following matches they attend at St James' Park.
