Champions League: quarter-finalists control 32.5% of the revenue of European clubs

The cumulative turnover of the eight quarter-finalists of the Champions League 2013-14 - three Spanish (FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid), two German (Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund), two English (Chelsea FC and Manchester United) and one French (Paris Saint Germain) - amounted to €2.632b in 2011-12, or 32.5% of revenue generated by the 237 clubs in the Champions League and Europa League in 2013-14 (€8.1b generated in 2011-12, the latest official figures published by UEFA in their benchmarking report 2013-14 on 20/09/2013).

The quarter-finals will see Paris SG (FRA) oppose Chelsea FC (ENG), Barcelona oppose Atletico Madrid (ESP), Real Madrid (ESP) oppose Borussia Dortmund (GER) and Manchester United (ENG) oppose Bayern Munich (GER), after the draw on 21/03/2014 in Nyon (Switzerland) at the headquarters of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations).
