FAANG Deal Tracker: list of acquisitions, partnerships, and activities in sports

The term FAANG refers to five American groups in new technologies and the internet: Facebook (social network), Amazon (e-commerce), Apple (computing technology), Netflix (VoD platform) and Google (Alphabet group, internet).

By extension, the term FAANG now includes other new internet and technology groups (and telecoms) such as social networks Snapchat (Snap.inc) and Twitter, Microsoft (computing technology), or the search engine Yahoo (now Altaba since the finalization of its acquisition by Verizon Telecommunications Group in June 2017).

These companies use sports content to drive traffic and audience to their platforms (YouTube for Google, or the live streaming service Facebook Live for video), or to find new followers and subscribers (Netflix and the VoD platform Amazon Prime Video, for example).
