Italy: Serie A celebrates 90^th anniversary as a single group championship

The Serie A as a single group championship celebrates its 90^th anniversary. It is indeed on 06/10/1929 that the first Championship A began with the format that is still in use today. That season ended on 13/07/1930 with the victory of the Ambrosiana (Inter), indicated the Lega Serie A on 04/10/2019. Previously, the Italian championship included several geographic groups and knockout phases.

"To celebrate this 90^th anniversary, the Lega Serie A has created a dedicated logo that will accompany communication initiatives on the ground and events throughout the 2019-20 season," added the Italian League. The "90" ("novanta") logo appeared in all stadiums during the games of Matchday 7 of Serie A TIM, on 05 and 06/10/2019.
