"The biggest threat in European football is our clubs, because we tend to think individually and not collectively. We want to make sure that we maintain a symbiosis with the domestic leagues. We don't want to kill domestic leagues. We need to think whether the system we have today is simply privileging a small group of teams. It (European cup structure) has to be open to all, this is a dogma of the European system. The dream of winning the Champions League must stay alive," said Andrea Agnelli, chairman of the ECA and head of Juventus (Serie A TIM), during the 2019 edition of the Leaders Week conference cycle held at Twickenham Stadium in London (ENG), on 08/10/2019.

"We don't want a closed system system like the USA with the NFL and NBA, but we live with a sporting risk (in football), and in order to achieve the sporting results and revenues we planned for we have to win on the pitch.
