Lega Serie A: "Four offices opened outside Italy in 2019-20, the first in New York" (L. De Siervo)

"New York will be our first office abroad, and in the coming years, the United States will be the scene of football, as it will host the finals of the Men's World Cup (2026) and Women's (not before 2027)," said Luigi De Siervo, CEO of the Lega Serie A, on the Italian public radio Rai on 07/10/2019.

"We will open four offices abroad during the season (2019-20), the first will probably be in New York," he announced in Florence (ITA) on 28/09/2019.

"We are looking for a starting point from which we can launch a strategy to increase the value of Serie A in a country as important as the United States, and from there try to attack Canada, Mexico and all of America commercially. We are looking for new audiences. We want to add value to the sporting event by making the virtual stadium, i.e. television, as beautiful as the real stadium," added Luigi De Siervo.
