eSports: EA Sports and adidas present the first official digital match ball for a global competition

The American publisher EA Sports and adidas have activated their partnership and launched the first official digital match ball for an eSports competition, the EA Sports FIFA 20 Global Series "on The Road to the FIFA eWorld Cup," announced the German equipment manufacturer on 07/10/2019.

"The digital ball will not be available to buy in physical form," said the brand. adidas became an official sponsor of the FIFA eWorld Cup in 2019. The ball will make its official competition debut at the FUT Champions Cup Stage I in November 2019.

In partnership with EA Sports, adidas has already launched two series of "virtual" shirts for Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander), Manchester United FC (Premier League), FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) and Juventus FC (Serie A TIM) on 19/12/2017 and 29/11/2018. For the second collection, the shirts were made available in a physical format for €89.95.
