Target, a Minneapolis (Minnesota, USA) based retailer, has become a partner and shirt sleeve sponsor of Los Angeles FC (MLS) for the 2020 season, as part of a multi-year deal, announced the club on 10/10/2019.

This is the first sleeve sponsorship deal in the league, with Major League Soccer having allowed clubs to experiment with this sponsorship space for four seasons (2020-2023, see below). According to American media, sleeve sponsorship should bring between $0.5m and $1m (€0.45m to €0.9m) per season to MLS clubs.

Target has the status of "Golden Boot Club Members", the first level in the sponsorship hierarchy of Los Angeles FC. Target also became the main shirt sponsor of Minnesota United FC since the club's MLS debut (2017 season), on 19/01/2017.
